#5 Crypto Cockpit: Alerts

The **Alerts** bar sits directly above the chart and shows short, automated notes about the currently selected coin’s technical condition — for example, when momentum shifts, when price tests a key VWAP level, or when price becomes unusually stretched from its average.

## Collapsing the alerts bar

Click the arrow in the Alerts header to collapse or expand the bar if you’d rather not see it while focusing on the chart. The candlestick chart panel just below it has the same kind of collapse arrow in its own header.

## What triggers an alert

Alerts are generated automatically based on rules built into the app — for example:

– A shift in momentum (such as the Daily VWAP crossing above or below the Weekly VWAP)

– Price testing a key Weekly or Monthly VWAP level

– Price trading unusually far from its recent average (an “overextended” or “oversold stretch” condition)

– Price and open interest moving in ways that suggest either fresh positioning or a weaker, less-supported move

Each alert is calculated from recent price and market data using a fixed rule, not from a person reviewing the chart in real time.

## A note on alerts

These alerts describe a technical condition the app has detected — they are observations about current market data, not predictions, recommendations, or trading signals. They can be wrong, can change quickly as new data comes in, and should not be the sole basis for a decision.
