Franklin Templeton adds 150 million dollars to XRP Ledger

Franklin Templeton Adds $150 Million in Tokenized Fund Shares to the XRP Ledger, All Held in One Wallet

Franklin Templeton added about $150 million of tokenized money market fund shares to the XRP Ledger on Thursday. The fund is the Franklin OnChain U.S. Dollar Short-Term Money Market Fund, a Singapore-domiciled product whose token on the ledger is sgBENJI. According to CoinDesk, it was issued through two subscriptions of about 72.18 million shares each, at roughly $1.039 per share.

All of the fund’s balance on the XRP Ledger now sits in a single wallet, which holds nearly 193 million shares worth about $200 million. Before Thursday it held about 48 million shares, and the number of holders stayed at one. The wallet and Franklin’s issuing account share the same eight signing addresses, and any two of them can approve a transaction. Franklin’s holdings on the ledger can be approved, frozen or recovered by the issuer.

It is unclear whether the wallet represents one investor or several clients through an omnibus account. Franklin had not responded to CoinDesk’s questions.

RWA.xyz ranks Franklin second among tokenized asset platforms on the XRP Ledger, behind Ripple’s RLUSD at about $930 million and ahead of Ondo at $185 million. In September 2025, Ripple, Franklin and DBS agreed on plans to switch between sgBENJI and RLUSD, and DBS said it would explore lending against the tokens.

The size of the issuance is notable, but a single-wallet structure says little about broad adoption. It is a data point, not a trading signal.
