#4 Crypto Portfolio: Support & Resistance and Risk/Reward

Support and resistance levels are price points you choose yourself for each coin. Once set, the app uses them to calculate a risk/reward figure and to flag which of your coins are getting close to one of those levels.

## Setting your levels

You can set Support ($) and Resistance ($) for a coin in two places:

– In the **Add/Edit** form for that coin (see **”Adding & Editing Coins”**)

– In the **Support & Resistances** quick-list inside the Settings panel, where you can update every coin’s levels in one screen without opening each one individually

These levels are entirely up to you — the app does not set or suggest them.

## How the risk/reward figure is calculated

Once a coin has both a support and a resistance level, and a live price, the app calculates:

– **Risk** = current price − support

– **Reward** = resistance − current price

– **Risk/Reward ratio** = reward ÷ risk, shown as, for example, “1:2.3”

This figure only appears when the price sits between your support and resistance levels. It is a simple mathematical ratio based on the numbers you entered — it does not account for the likelihood of the price actually reaching either level, and it is not a recommendation or a prediction.

## The Support & Resistance dashboard block

The **Support & Resistance** block on your dashboard splits your coins into two lists: coins approaching your support level, and coins approaching your resistance level, based on current price versus the levels you set.

This block also shows a “generated at” timestamp — this refers to when the underlying market data was last refreshed, not to your own saved levels.

## Trend and classification columns

If you enable the **Detail columns** (4H / 1D / 1W / Classification / Description) via the toggle above the table, you’ll see additional trend and classification information sourced from the app’s market analysis. This information is provided for context only — it reflects an automated read of current market conditions and can change frequently. It is not investment advice and should not be treated as a guarantee of how a coin’s price will move.
