Strategy Resumes Bitcoin Buying After a One-Week Pause With an 811 BTC, $65.5 Million Purchase

Strategy, the bitcoin treasury company led by Michael Saylor, bought 811 bitcoin for about $65.5 million between October 26 and November 1, according to an 8-K filing with the SEC. The average price was roughly $80,846 per coin. The purchase follows a week in which the company made no acquisitions.

The filing puts Strategy’s total at 849,327 BTC, acquired for about $64.1 billion at an average of $75,451 per bitcoin, or more than 4% of bitcoin’s supply cap. The purchase was funded by at-the-market sales of MSTR Class A stock: 1,178,552 shares sold for about $164 million, leaving $18.62 billion available under that program.

The company also repurchased about 2.1 million shares of its STRC preferred stock for roughly $208.2 million from its USD Cash reserve and paid $43.4 million in preferred dividends from its USD Reserve. As of November 1, the USD Reserve held $4.79 billion and USD Cash held $132.7 million.

Saylor hinted at the buy on Sunday, writing “We found room for even more orange.” Strategy reported third-quarter net income of $19.5 billion last Thursday, up from $2.79 billion a year earlier. The mix of new bitcoin purchases, preferred buybacks and dividend payments shows how the company is now balancing its funding obligations alongside accumulation.
