StoneX Sees DTCC’s Tokenization Push as Validation for Securitize, Not a Threat

Research firm StoneX argues that the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation’s new tokenization service validates Securitize’s model instead of threatening it, The Block reported on November 2. Analyst Mark Palmer reiterated a Buy rating and an $18 price target on Securitize’s NYSE-listed shares (SECZ), which traded around $7.30 at publication, down 24% since the July 2025 listing.

StoneX contends the two platforms serve different markets. DTCC’s offering is permissioned and initially limited in the securities, participants and blockchain networks it covers, while Securitize focuses on public-blockchain tokenization of funds, equities and assets usable in DeFi. Palmer wrote that DTCC “has opened a debate about where tokenized U.S. equities should ultimately be anchored,” and called Securitize “the only tokenization platform that already holds the full regulatory stack.” StoneX also expects tokenized assets to serve as collateral across markets, which could lift demand for tokenized fund shares and equities.

The note arrived as Securitize widened its tokenized stock offering on Monday to 25 equities by adding 13 companies, including ExxonMobil, GameStop, Salesforce and Disney. The tokens trade on Solana and are backed one-to-one by the underlying shares. The Block also cited $1.44 billion of tokenized private credit on Solana, with Securitize and Maple credit tokens accepted as collateral on Kamino.

The view is one analyst’s opinion, and the share price remains well below the target StoneX sets.
