Anthropic’s Amended IPO Filing Lists $895.4 Billion in Purchase and Lease Commitments

Anthropic’s amended IPO filing says it has purchase commitments and lease agreements of $895.4 billion, “substantially all of which is related to compute and infrastructure,” CNBC reported on November 2. A Dutch-language headline put the figure at 801 billion euros. The filing is stated in dollars, and the euro number appears to be a currency conversion of the same total, though that is our inference and was not confirmed by a source.

Yahoo Finance, reporting on the filing, said about $70 billion falls due within a year and nearly $450 billion by the end of 2030. The largest items include Broadcom equipment leases of $161.2 billion, Google at $121.3 billion, an AI unit of SpaceX at up to $120.5 billion and Amazon at $110 billion. These are future obligations, not money already spent.

The filing also showed revenue of about $17 billion in the third quarter, up from $11.6 billion in the second, and an operating loss of $567 million after a $974 million operating profit in the prior quarter. Yahoo Finance said a $2 billion non-cash charge tied to a donation-matching program added to the loss. The IPO price range and share count are still blank, and Yahoo Finance reported no direct statement from Anthropic.

For markets, the filing shows how much AI infrastructure spending is now tied to a single prospective listing.
