US Spot Bitcoin ETFs Snap a Three-Day Outflow Streak With $74.6 Million as Ether Funds Add $53 Million

Spot bitcoin ETFs took in $74.6 million and ether funds $53 million on Wednesday, ending a $1.16 billion outflow run even as BlackRock's IBIT lost $201 million.

US spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds attracted $74.6 million on Wednesday while ether funds added $53 million, SoSoValue data cited by Cointelegraph shows. The bitcoin inflow ended three sessions of outflows totaling $1.16 billion, and the ether result halted a seven-day outflow streak of $657 million. Bitcoin rebounded above $80,000 as US stocks rallied after the Democratic midterm wins.

Bitcoin fund withdrawals had already slowed, from $399 million on Monday to $116 million on Tuesday. The split between issuers was uneven: BlackRock’s IBIT lost another $201.2 million on Wednesday, extending its four-session outflow streak to $935.2 million, according to Farside data, while Fidelity’s FBTC led inflows with about $237 million. Cointelegraph reported that bitcoin’s 2026 net ETF outflows had narrowed to about $79 million.

Analysts urged caution about reading too much into the election. James Butterfill, head of research at CoinShares, said bitcoin had largely priced in a possible Democratic sweep and warned against giving the election much credit for its performance. CK Zheng, co-founder of ZX Squared Capital and a former global head of risk at Credit Suisse, pointed to monetary liquidity, institutional flows and risk appetite as more immediate drivers. He noted that ETFs and corporate treasuries could broaden demand but also expose bitcoin to institutional selling.

One day of inflows does not make a trend, but it is the first positive print after a heavy run of redemptions.
