Robinhood Chain, a network launched earlier this year, has handled about 89 billion euros, or $100 billion, of trading through Uniswap, Crypto Insiders reported. Robinhood and Uniswap announced the milestone on Tuesday, November 3. A Robinhood Crypto post read: “Robinhood Chain is the fastest chain ever to reach $100B in volume on Uniswap.”
Much of the activity involves digital versions of stocks such as Nvidia and Tesla. Robinhood reported more than 71 billion euros of decentralized-exchange trading through September 30, and its third-quarter trading revenue was about 23 million euros. From those numbers, Crypto Insiders inferred that at least about 18 billion euros was added after the quarter ended. That calculation is the outlet’s inference rather than a company statement.
The outlet also warned about how the number should be read. The figure adds up all transactions, so the same token can be counted several times, and it says nothing about unique users or about the value held on the network. Volume is a measure of activity, not of assets or profitability.
Even with those caveats, the milestone shows how quickly tokenized equities are drawing activity to a broker-backed chain. It arrives while Wall Street firms such as Morgan Stanley and DTCC participants build their own tokenization services, which increases competition for the same flows.
