渣打银行于11月2日在香港推出代币化存款服务，加密公司HashKey集团表示自己是该服务的首批机构客户之一。据Crypto Insiders报道，该服务使HashKey能够在正常银行营业时间之外，在受控的区块链环境中转移银行资金。
代币化存款是银行账户中所持资金的数字化表示。其底层资金仍是商业银行货币，是对渣打银行的债权，因此它并非稳定币，这些代币也不能在获批环境之外自由交易。参与银行之间的交易最终可以在全天任何时间以央行货币为基础进行结算。
HashKey表示，它将这些存款用于现金管理和结算，包括在传统支付系统关闭时在集团公司和市场之间转移资金。华夏基金、Finloop和PantherTrade也已在该平台上完成交易。渣打银行没有透露HashKey转移了多少资金。
该服务目前仅限于香港的企业客户。该行计划将其扩展到更多市场，但尚未给出时间表。对加密公司而言，其吸引力在于实用性：数字资产市场全天候交易，而银行转账仍在很大程度上遵循办公时间，这给交易所和经纪商的资金和流动性管理带来了困难。代币化存款提供了一种受监管的方式，可以在不离开银行体系的情况下缩小这一差距。
